Dear Neighbor,
Our community’s greatest asset and hope for the future is our children. Their future depends on strong, accountable, and transparent local leadership. I am officially announcing my candidacy for the Lamar County School Board, District D.
I am running because our schools belong to the community, not distant bureaucrats, state and federal agencies, or unyielding administrative mandates. For much too long, local school boards have acted as rubber stamps rather than active guardians of our local values and taxpayer dollars. We need a return to common-sense, local governance that prioritizes school safety, academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and absolute transparency for parents. Our children deserve to learn in a disciplined and safe environment where learning life skills are as important as academics.
I am not entering this race with a personal agenda or political motives. I am a parent, grandparent, and community member who cares deeply about our local schools and will serve to ensure they remain a source of pride and safety for every family.
I ask for your support, your voiced input, and your vote as we work together to bring common sense back to our schools. Working in unity, we can build a stronger future for Lamar County, the State of Mississippi, and our Great Nation.
As your school board member my priorities will be clear and unwavering:
- Academic Excellence: Refocus classroom instruction on foundational skills - reading, math, science, and critical thinking - to ensure every student is prepared for real-world success.
- Parental Rights and Transparency: Guaranteeing parents have open access to curricula, a voice in school policies, and a seat at the table where decisions are made.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Directing taxpayer dollars away from bloated administration and expensive outside consultants, and straight into our classrooms where our teachers and students need them most.
